This Louis XVI style giltwood trumeau is distinguished by its elegant verticality and the harmony it creates between decorative art and landscape painting. The upper section features a delicately executed figurative canvas depicting a peaceful rural scene: a winding path leading to a light-colored house, bordered by a slender tree, while a lively river with a gentle weir adds freshness and movement.
