Stilleben

Stilleben is an Italian brand that was created in 2017 when the architect Elena Baschieri decided to launch a project whose primary goal is to celebrate Italian craftsmanship. The brand name Stilleben is German for “still life”. Specifically, the contemporary still life of the great masters like Giorgio Morandi, who portrays the world of common everyday objects: vases, glasses, bottles, bowls. Everyday objects are distinguished by high material quality and attention to volumes. Through the search for essential clean lines and synthesis, Stilleben designs and creates its own products. With a careful look at the choice on the color scale and the quality of the materials and a formal search for the essence of things. The first result of this search is a collection that recalls the tactile, material, and opaque surfaces of the “Gesso” (“Chalk”) from which it takes its name.
