About This Piece

Contemporary Design

One of the most imposing and provocative figures of the Hollywood Golden Era, Mary Mae West was the ultimate symbol of independence and allure. Inspired by her magnetic personality and legendary silhouette, Ottiu’s designers conceived the Mary Bar Chair to bring a touch of cinematic drama to any high-end interior.
True to its haute-couture roots, the handcrafted upholstered structure acts as a corset, "pinching" the silhouette at the waist to create that unmistakable, cinched hourglass curve. Its bold, elongated "V" legs recreate the dramatic sweep of a floor-length dress opening toward the spotlight, now reimagined for the most sophisticated bar settings.
Dressed in a deluxe combination of geometric-patterned velvet and tactile bouclé, the Mary Bar Chair offers a unique and versatile design.
