Since 1928 he collaborates with texts, poems and drawings to the magazine of the movement and meanwhile collaborates as an editor and reporter with several Parisian newspapers, in 1932, exhausted the experience of the ''Grand Jeu'', passes to the surrealist movement, collaborating in its publications and participating in its exhibitions. His humor veers towards the unusual and cruelty, more and more derisive of the absurdity of everyday life, the tragic side of common existence, which spirit and unconscious rebel, trying to access the unobservable. He knows Salvador Dali.In 1939 he also begins the activity of filmmaker, In 1941 he held his first solo exhibition in Paris: the first buyer is Pablo Picasso.Participates in all the surrealist exhibitions, including the international one of 1947 in Paris.In 1951, for issues related to discipline within the group, he abandoned the surrealist movement with others, while continuing to practice the poetics.In 1955 he also became passionate about photography.Since 1968 he devoted himself almost exclusively to painting, abandoning the activity of humorous designer. In the same year he settled permanently in Milan: in Italy he exhibited in several solo exhibitions, those of Milan at the Galleria Marconi. The work presented here, a youthful drawing, comes from an important private collection in Milan, and 'presented in frame.
