Vintage Design

A one-of-a-kind Spanish table lamp crafted from a hand-thrown and hand-painted Teruel vase by the Punter family of Aragón, five generations deep in one of the country's oldest pottery traditions. Paired with a custom new green tweed silk lampshade, custom cut brass fittings and a new matching fabric cord.

Newly rewired for US use, or for your country of use, and the listed height includes the shade.

The decoration is Teruel's loza verdimorada — green and manganese-brown brushed over a white tin glaze — a palette that traces back to the medieval Mudéjar potteries and was revived in a looser, more confident hand under Domingo Punter. It includes stylized birds and heraldic shields. The underside carries the painted "Punter" signature; each piece is thrown and painted individually, so no two match.
