Mid-Century Konkav Lounge Chairs by Paul Bode for Deutsche Federholzgesellschaft, 1950s, Set of 2

Paul Bode's "concave" armchair is an original 1950 design jewel. The 1955 draft is based on the Scandinavian, Danish designs of the mid-century era and was produced by the German Federholzgesellschaft.

PARTICULARITIES
* The very slightly springs, solid frame is made of beech (presumably maple), the seating body was re-moved with a cozy teddy cover (cotton mixture) in timeless and noble cream white.
* The concave armchair / Easy Chair is a special, exclusive design object of its era because it is very high quality and extraordinary in its execution and quality.
* A special detail of the design are the organically, artistically shaped legs and the ergonomically shaped seat, which remind us a little of the world-famous armchair designs of IB-Kofod Larsen.
* Professionally newly related & padded.

STATUS
The armchairs are located in more than good, very nice and well-kept, such as part-restored vintage state, with non-serious, usual, age-related traces on the wooden surface: like some smaller surface scratches, few smaller notches / verses (mostly angular) and occasionally Age and usage-related color unevenness. As always, the wooden surface was polished and treated with wood care.
* As already mentioned above, the armchairs were re -padded and covered with trendy teddy fabric, so the condition of the fabric is new and unused.
Thus, the armchairs are immediately ready for use and without doing their own care/cleaning for a long time.

* However, all signs of use on the wooden surface are only a little more visible without serious viewing, these traces are hardly noticeable in the everyday overall picture.
