Mid-Century Modern Black Tallboy Chest of 5 Drawers, 1940

A fabulous piece of vintage and mid century furniture in a five drawer chest. The chest consists of five hand crafted drawers with each one having superb dovetail jointing and offering excellent storage, on each drawer front there are two brass pull handles with with each one in gold and super ornate. The chest has lovely detailing with a stylised ribbed back riser running along the top and elegant moulded sides. The cabinet has been hand painted in a matt black then satin lacquered that gives a lovely sheen to the chest with all the drawers also hand coloured, to the base the rail and the queen Anne style cabriole legs have been coloured in gold that gives a wonderful contrast in colours and a real elegant look. The chest is a wonderful piece of vintage furniture with great proportions and a wonderful look and design that would suit any home or environment.
