About This Piece

Vintage Design

An extraordinary and highly collectible Mid-Century Modern mushroom table lamp produced by the prestigious Aureliano Toso furnace in Murano, Italy, during the late 1970s. This specific piece represents a luxury custom-grade variant of the classic mushroom lamp, boasting premium materials and official documentation that secure its authenticity.
A Masterpiece of Materials and Luxury Details
The Amethyst Gems: Unlike standard production models, this lamp features 3 massive, hand-shaped Murano glass inserts in a rare amethyst purple hue. Bound in polished brass claws, they act as safeguards for the glass shade while creating a magnificent color contrast.
Hand-Blown Glass: The generous mushroom shade (40 cm diameter) and the elegant central stem are crafted from pristine hand-blown incamiciato satin Murano glass. Weighing a substantial 4.4 kg, the density of the glass ensures a perfectly uniform, soft, and glare-free ambient glow.
Organic Silhouette: The intentional slight organic tilting of the stem and the asymmetric arrangement of the three arms are absolute proof of its 100% handcrafted nature. It is a sculptural light born exactly this way in the furnace.
Advanced 1970s Technology
Original Relco Milano Dimmer: The lamp is equipped with its ultra-rare original 1970s Relco Milano floor dimmer in a matching bronze-gold finish. This advanced slide dimmer allows cutting-edge light intensity control from 40W up to 160W, creating different atmospheres.
100% Certified Authenticity
Official Archival Label: The original Vetri Murano sticker is still perfectly preserved inside the shade, bearing the factory Code 012 (corresponding to Aureliano Toso - Firme di Vetro SpA).
Engraved Signature: The polished brass base also features a hand-etched monogram "CN MR" with a diamond tip. Sold as an attribution to the high-end furnace production of the late 1970s.
