Beautiful set of original vintage 1401 armchairs designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen in 1954. This comfortable armchair is very beautiful by its simplicity. A nice example of Dutch modernism from the middle of the last century. These armchairs with model name 1401 have a metal back, black steel frame and bakelite armrests. The updated foam cushions feature a new dark blue wool upholstery that is removable.
