Thonet 210 R - Bentwood chair Classic bentwood chair in the form of a sculpture The model 210 R is a masterpiece in design and manufacture! It is bent into shape from solid beech wood. A projecting bow forms both backrest and armrests. The backrest is additionally complemented by an oval back element with wickerwork, which gives the chair a particularly high level of sitting comfort. The Thonet bentwood classic consists of a combination of aesthetic reduction and organic forms. It thus has the effect of a sculpture. The Swiss architect Le Corbusier, who was enthusiastic about this chair, used it in many of his buildings. This was also the case in the famous Weissenhofsiedlung in Stuttgart (1927).
