Vintage Design

Modernist set of four armchairs made by Tatra in 1930s. The chairs are built of sharp, geometric lines with rounded corners. The armrests are made of bent technology, the chair seat is gently ergonomically shaped. The chairs are made of bent, steamed beechwood with new handmade shellac finish. This model was originally designed for Thonet Mundus Company at late 1920s and produced up until the early 1930s. The Tatra furniture company was built on Thonet tradition. Tatra produced high-quality design products that benefited from use of innovative construction technologies and individual approach. Their products were known for its elegance, original shapes and innovations. These chairs have traces of use through time, but also a beautiful patina.
