MR10 Cantilever Chair by Mies van der Rohe made by Thonet or Mauser, very rare early original model inspired by Mart Stam original leather, somewhat stiff chromed tubular steel frame, with some mild patina special bars to hold the back leather in place here you see the hand of architect Mies single cross member/under cross support bar welded in place and painted silver; maybe a vintage repair or was it made that way? no visible seam -the tube seems endless design classic, sling lounge chair from private collection, very early model 1930s, Bauhaus, vintage, retro, mid-century modern, modernist tube diameter: 2,5 cm.
