Vintage Design

Elegant Napoleon III period in-between furniture, to the magnificent "Boulle" marquetry, named Charles-André Boulle, cabinetmaker of King Louis XIV, who made this technique using the encrustation of chiseled brass. This ornamentation process is found in various places, especially in the upper part, on the facade and on the uprights, always on a black back in blackened wood, thus offering a beautiful contrast. The inlays of chopped brass, of Greek inspiration, are in the shape of intertwined scrolls, flowers, foliage and basket.
This property opens through a door pulled by the right, composed in the angles of four concave elements: these are separated by chiseled bronze ornaments. One of them is an entrance with a key used to the opening. The original lock and key are in working order.
The pattern of oval -shaped shape in central, slightly curved, has a large bronze molding, with flower decor accompanied by a pearl. The mahogany interior is structured by two shelves of the same petrol, adjustable on rack.
In addition, this quality furniture with support height is enriched with falls in bronzes, in particular carved in the form of Egyptian women in the upper part of the amounts, or in floral motifs for the other garnishes.
Stuck baguettes of the same alloy, forming cords, underline the protruding base and the upper part delimiting the strip of the furniture.
This property is summoned with a white carrare white marble of original in perfect condition, which brings an additional radiance to the whole.
Sumptuous, this bicentennial interwar period will delight lovers of exceptional furniture.
