A pair of wall light fixtures by Kinkeldey, Germany, manufactured in the midcentury, circa 1970 (late 1960s or early 1970s). Really heavy quality. They are comfortable with all decor periods. This wall lights are executed to a very high standard. The quality large square crystals beautifully reflecting the light. This modernist design light fixtures were designed by the Kinkeldey design team during the 1970s and manufactured in Germany. Base made of metal, base chrome-plated. With three E14 sockets. Suitable for all living areas and very decorative Measures: Measures: 39 cm / 15.3 H x 19 cm x 7.5'' W x 13 cm / 5.1 D Crystal gas: 10 x 10 cm / 3.9'' x 3.9'' Base: 31 x 14.5 cm / 12.2'' x 5.7''. Cleaned and re-wired, in full working order and ready to use. The chrome frame is in very good condition with a light patina in line with age. The crystal shades, all original and in excellent condition, screw securely to the frame. We deliver some spare glasses extra. Kinkeldey is German manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when they won the prestigious IF Design Award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. During the 1970s Kinkeldey produced a number of variations on this award winning model, like the one offered here. Though these wall lights show the same quality as fixtures of companies like Bakalowits, Lobmeyer and Palwa, the Kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach.
