Bernard Jules François (1884-1942) was a painter of landscape paintings and female nudity. He was a pupil of Cormon.

He exhibited at the ''Salon des Artistes Français'' in 1922,

then from 1928 to 1933 he sent his works mainly landscapes to the ''Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts''.

From 1928 to 1929 he decided to also exhibit his nude paintings of women at the ''Salon des Indépendants''.
