Lucitalia Milan was founded in 1966 as "LIGHT interior lighting" and it states in a short time as one of the most original and innovative manufacturing companies in the modern design product. The fame of LUCI stands at international level with the creation in 1983 of the table lamp Kandido created in collaboration with Ferdinand Alexander Porsche.

Over time the Lucitalia collaboration with designers of international prestige has continued to increase and now includes in its history names like: Gianfranco Frattini, Adonis, Caltha, Ignatius; Toshiyuki Kita, Rodolfo Bonetto Rio, Flu, Todo; Giugiaro Design, Asahara Sigueaki, Francesco Brivio, Charles Giancarlo Fassina and Forcolini, Serge & Robert Cornelissen, Gabi Peretto, Margarita Kroucharska, Reggiani, Gianni Forcolini, Maurizio Parrini.

About the Creator

Goffredo Reggiani

Not a lot of biographical information is available on the Italian lighting designer and entrepreneur Goffredo Reggiani, however it can be surmised that he was particularly active in the lighting sector during the 1950s throughout the 1970s.

Reggiani founded his eponymous lighting factory in Brianza, Italy, a region known for its tradition in industry. In his designs, Reggiani utilized mainly chrome, as well as opaline glass and teak, to create Space Age designs, such as sputnik style chandeliers, globe-shaped table lamps, and floor lamps with trumpet-like diffusers. During the 1970s, Reggiani developed the first range of low voltage halogen lamps in Europe.

Today, the company is still in operation, creating interior and exterior lighting for both the private and public sectors.
