Vintage Design

Mid Cenutry pendant light by the French company Rispal. Rispal lights were highly expressive lights inspired by contemporary abstract sculpture especially the work of artist Hans Arp, and considered "functional sculpture well before danish modern designs were popular (this model dates from 1951-1952). with their bold biomorphic forms they remember the work of Henry Moore, Noguchi or Nakashima and there were at the cutting edge of taste in postwar product design. This is the largest version produced.
