Art Deco bronze sculpture of a standing, naked woman titled ‘Reveil’ (French for ‘awakening’), from Paris, France, circa 1970-80. Brownish patinated bronze in excellent condition, standing on a black, stepped marble plinth. Signed ‘Philips’ engraved on the base. Round foundry stamp ‘Bronze Garantié Paris J.B. Depose’. Model number: A-7744 Standing female nude with raised arms. The pose appears graceful and timeless, typical of idealized representations of femininity in the art of the 1920s–30s.
