Vintage Design

Elegant and cheerful eighties lamp by Herda ( Netherlands ), stone red / black color scheme. Quite a large sized table light, it can also double as a small floor light. Metal arm and shade, which both can move in many directions. Comfortable detail is the light control dimmer integrated in the heavy base.
This rare counter balance table light was created by the Herda design team. Together with Hala, Anvia and Raak, Herda was one of the Dutch innovative lighting companies that became succesful during 1960-1980. During the eighties, the company was clearly influenced by the Memphis craze, and designed lamps inspired by the work of Sottsass, Mendini and Kuramata.
Light source: 1 normal E14 bulbholder, suitable for modern LED bulbs. Wiring replaced. Scratch and dent free lamp that can be used right away.
