About This Piece

Vintage Design

Originally, this typical furniture in the Arles region, south of France, made it possible to keep bread.

It is made up of bars turned on 3 sides, an openwork door, finely carved: vase, flowery fines, placed on a large wrought iron gonds. The pediment is decorated with fruit baskets, ears and binds, surmounted by 7 whistles. The lower headband represents a lyre among other ornaments. The arched feet with winding in the Louis XV style.
Furniture that can be placed or suspended against a wall, of high quality of manufacture of the 19th century, witness to the know-how of the craftsmen of Provence. Its many ornaments carved in the mass, largely openwork make it a rare and exceptional piece of furniture.
