Vintage Design

The designer and producer of this table is believed to be made in one of the Scandinavian countries in the 1960’s, most likely Denmark.

This side table is made of Cherry wood with a Formica top. Its design is strongly influenced by the work of Severin Hansen who produced almost identical pieces in rosewood for Haslev Company.

The slick shaped cherry wood legs with precise detailing and the layered Formica top are the main design feature - a minimalist language so typical for Scandinavian designers.

This table is in great vintage condition. It has been polished out by hand in a recent restoration using original techniques and materials. Shellac and Nitro varnishes were used to achieve the beautiful gloss finish on the wooden surface. There is some wear and tear on the formica table top and also the colour of the formica has faded slightly over the years.

Item will be left in its packaging after delivery. A signature will be required upon delivery.

For unusually large or heavy items, we recommend asking a family member or friend for an extra hand, as we cannot send more than 2 drivers.
