Exquisitely crafted by renowned ceramist Ingrid Atterberg for Uppsala Ekeby, this black, white and gray chamotte vase with a distinctive handle and rough surface epitomizes mid-century Scandinavian modern design. Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for Upsala-Ekeby between the 1940s and 1960s. One of the most well-known series is Progresso from 1958. It consists of eight earthenware objects in the form of vases and bowls. They have a rough surface with a rustic expression. The goods are deep stamped on the underside with UE, Sweden, Abg and model number. The series was produced until 1959.
