About This Piece

Contemporary Design

This sculptural side table is a one-of-a-kind work of functional art, carved entirely by hand from a single hardwood log. Its hourglass-like silhouette flows seamlessly from a rounded base to a flared top, creating a form that feels both fluid and anchored. The proportions are soft yet substantial, giving the piece a quiet presence that resonates with natural balance. The surface highlights the tree’s history through its growth rings, knots, and organic cracking. Warm tones shift subtly across the wood, enriched by the hand-polished finish that brings out depth and character. The natural fissures remain visible, a reminder of the material’s authenticity and life cycle. Crafted with chainsaws, carving tools, and refined hand-finishing, this table embodies a direct and intuitive process. Its simple, sculptural form makes it adaptable as a side table, pedestal, or standalone art object in interiors that embrace organic design and material honesty. Perfect for wabi-sabi, Japandi, rustic modern, or contemporary spaces, it functions as much as a conversation piece as a practical furnishing. Finished with natural oils and waxes to protect and nourish the wood while preserving its tactile surface. Designed and made in Europe by Logniture, a studio dedicated to transforming raw timber into expressive, heirloom-grade furniture. Materials: Solid hardwood(walnut), carved from a single log Surface: Smooth with visible grain, knots, and cracks Finish: Natural oils and waxes Placement: Indoor use recommended
