This set of 4 dining chairs in ash wood and rich cognac leather designed by Italian Silvio Coppola for Fratelli Montina in the 1970s is not a set easily found.
Let alone in this condition and with such harmonious and matching cognac patina on the leather of all 4 chairs.

Despite Silvio Coppolas sculptural design of the chairs, they are surprisingly sturdy and comfortable to sit in.

The ash wood of the frame has a beautiful destinct woodgrain and a glowing golden color that matches well with the cognac patina of the leather and the visible stitching around the edges of the backrest.
A fine example of refined 1970s Italian design and craftsmanship.

These chairs were used in the living room-style lobby Kelly Wearstler designed for the iconic Proper Hotel Santa Monica.
