Excellent and rare Meissen porcelain genre group: Elegantly dressed Rococo couple in the shade of a group of trees: a young lady sitting at the feet of her beau, leaning back against his lap and reaching for his hand, while he sits on a stump and tries to place a wreath of flowers on her head with the other, next to a lying sheep, a backpack leaning against a tree, a shepherd's crook, a hat and a large basket full of flowers. On an oval, flat meadow base with a gold rim. Designer: JOHANN JOACHIM KAENDLER (1706 - 1775) chief sculptor at the Meissen manufactory from 1742 to 1775.
