Mid-century Murano sommerso catch-all designed by Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso (Murano, Italy) in 1970s. "Sommerso" (Italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly caused by a clear layer. Thick and extremely decorative. Colours: blue, yellow and clear. Dimensions: diameter: 12.5 cm / 4.9'' ; length: 9 cm / 3.5''; width: 9 cm / 3.5''; height: 9.5 cm / 3.7''. Quite heavy (1.6 kg). Can be used as an ashtray or as a display piece on any table. Excellent vintage condition.
