Handwoven in wool, this 4x5 contemporary Kilim is from an exciting new custom-capable flatweave collection. On the Design: “Rez Kilim” represents a contemporary homage to Turkish panel-weaving styles in a textural approach to minimalist rugs. It enjoys a play of gray, beige and taupe tones, underscored by cream accents in the weft and stitching between the panels (or columns). Admirers of the craft will appreciate the way the fundamentals of a traditional flatweaving style have been reimagined in an almost impressionistic look at geometry, ribbing, and the subtleties of a Kilim. The result yields both a fabulous new look and a more comfortable, durable flatweave body for the modern design; a simple, comfortable choice that recreates the element of personal and intricate beauty of Kilims in new sizes and refreshing colors.
