Still Life With Fruits is an original oil on canvas realized by Arturo Tosi in 1941. Hand-signed on the lower right ''A. Tosi''. Includes a frame: 71.5 x 5.5 x 81.5 cm. On the frame, a little plate with engraved author, title, and date. Provenance: Pilati brothers collection (TN). The artwork represents a beautiful still life with fruits and a jug. The brushstroke is fresh, typical of the artist's style. Arturo Tosi (b. Busto Arsizio, 1871) started his painting career in 1885. In 1882, his family moved to Milan. He trained with the artist Adolfo Feragutti Visconti whilst attending the Scuola Libera del Nudo at the Accademia di Brera (1889–90). He associated himself with the post-Scapigliati and joined the artistic circles of Carlo Jotti and Gerolamo Cairati. This artwork is shipped from Italy.
