Our Borsani Tutti Frutti Chairs Are Ready!!!

Italian architect-designer Osvaldo Borsani is a legend and a constant source of inspiration for me. Prior to founding his manufacturing company Tecno, back in the 1950s, he worked alongside his father in the family’s renowned atelier making handcrafted furniture.

We are lucky to have forged a partnership with Osvaldo's daughter, Valeria Fantoni-Borsani, and his grandson, Tommaso Fantoni, who are heading The Osvaldo Borsani Archive. We want to support them in opening up the archive and villa in Varedo, near Milan, in order for people to enjoy the important pieces, atmosphere and architecture that Osvaldo left behind.

As a result of our collaboration we are offering this rare set of 6 Maple Chairs – designed by Borsani in 1947 and produced by the family atelier in the same year. These gorgeous chairs are solid maple, and each one has been reupholstered in a different shade of vintage Visconti di Modrone velvet exclusively for L’ArcoBaleno. We selected the most beautiful colors we found in the Borsani archive... and there were many.

I call them the 'Tutti Frutti' chairs, and I'm very proud of them! Stay tuned for our upcoming feature story on Osvaldo Borsani by our wonderful Wava... and for these incredibly unique chairs you can buy only through us!
