About This Piece

Vintage Design

Architect, designer and professor Jože Plečnik designed the chair in 1921 to furnish the drawing room and cabinet at Stara tehnika, where the former Department of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana had its premises. The chair is functional and light, the original is made of spruce wood and allows you to sit for hours while drawing and doing other work at the table. Some of the original chairs are still preserved today in the Plečnik house and at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana.

Restoration and Damage Details	Light wear consistent with age and use, Surface has been refinished, The chair had been completly restored (sanded and oiled). The edge had been chipped off (as seen on the foto) and replaced with filler in black colour.
