This small square bronze vase, originally intended as a cigarette box, was designed the renowned silversmith Jacob Ängman for the Swedish company GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget) in the 1930s. Crafted from patinated bronze, this small vase has a substantial weight that belies its compact size, giving it a solid and durable feel in the hand.

It's a striking example of early modernist and Art Deco design. Each of the vase's four sides is adorned with relief sculptures of human figures in various poses, reflecting the classical and mythological themes characteristic of the period.

The vase has a copper-like finish and features a rich, aged patina that enhances the depth of the reliefs and gives the piece a warm, antique appearance.
