Vintage Design

Very large Doria murano glass table lamp - Part light, part sculpture, the huge glass globe shows a surface not unlike the moon with its craters , filled with random bubbles and pockets of air within the glass that capture and refract light from the interior bulbs . The inner structure is made out of 6 spheres of solid brass positioned on poles of different heights, intertwined with 4 pillars for the bulbs, a metaphor for the stars and planetary movements - To achieve the best lighting effect, these lights were meant to be used with mirrored bulbs with gives the light its typical sculptural dimension when lit up.
