Set of 2 Tetra tables by Bernard Vuarnesson for Bellato, 1980s Italy. Designed by French designer Bernard Vuarnesson this elegant pair of Tetra side or coffee tables perfectly reflects Vuarnesson’s fascination with modularity and intelligent craftsmanship. At first glance, the design appears restrained and architectural, yet beneath its compact cubic form lies a remarkably versatile concept. Each table is constructed with carefully executed joinery, emphasizing the quality of the woodworking and the precision of the design. Concealed within the structure are four pull-out trays, guided by an ingenious toothed sliding system. The serrated wooden edges act as integrated runners, allowing the trays to glide smoothly in and out while maintaining the table’s clean geometric appearance. The extendable elements serve not only as additional surfaces but can also be used independently as serving trays. Finished with durable laminate tops, they provide a practical contrast to the warmth of the wooden frame, making the tables equally suited to everyday use and entertaining.
