The party is a work Mary G. made in 2003 while she was working on her acrylic on Plastic series. This series of 10 totally different paintings depicts life in those carefree pre-crisis years of the late 1990s.

This large painting (110 x 110 cms) really stands out. Not only due to the wonderful combination of colours by also by the unusual shiny background that is the plastic 'canvas'.
