About This Piece

Vintage Design

This beautiful rare vase was designed by Marianne Starck and produced by the manufacturer Michael Andersen and Son from Bornholm, also known as Bornholms ceramic. This vase, made of dark ceramic and white glaze with a beautiful tribal motif, is part of the much-discussed Negro series. This line that Marianne designed is a tribute to African art. Given the negative association with the original name of this series, it is today called the Tribal series. This vase is 14.5 cm high and has a diameter of 8 cm.
