Vintage Design

This is a beautiful Regency Revival flame mahogany and satin wood banded oval dining table and a set of six shield back dining chairs, dating from Circa 1980, made by the Master Cabinet maker William Tillman and bearing his label on the underside. The fabulous 5ft 6 in flame mahogany tilt-top table can seat six people in comfort. The top is decoratively crossbanded in satinwood with ebony and boxwood stringing. It sits on a mahogany hand-turned column with quadruple swept fluted sabre legs that terminate in brass toes and castors. The high-quality set of six mahogany shield back chairs was also made by William Tillman. They are made of solid mahogany and stand on square legs, joined by h-stretchers that make them very sturdy. The drop in seats is upholstered in a striking striped fabric. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome set, which represents all the very best elements of English furniture making. It is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection and a talking point with guests at meal times.
