Vintage Dining Table in Teak with Two Inserts, 1960s

Stylish square Danish dining table that is very user-friendly and flexible and has an unusually small size of 100x100 cm!

The table is from the Danish company Skovby Møbelfabrik and is made of solid teak. The table is very well made with softly rounded edges and in a golden brown tone that is typical of the Danish teak furniture.

The table stands on a pillar base, which makes it easy to place the chairs around the table. Table top and insert tops have the same softly shaped edge and this means that the table has a uniform expression that gives nice harmony. In addition, the table has a slim expression in that there is no edge under the table.

For the table, there are two insert plates that are 50.5 cm/piece. They can be used together or separately. The table can thus expand from 100×100 cm to 201×100 cm with room for eight to ten seats!

The table top is in solid teak and has a thickness of almost 4 cm, while the insert boards are veneered. Thanks to that, they are much easier to handle and are not so heavy and unwieldy. Here, one person can easily insert the discs themselves!
Both the table top and the insert top have eccentric locks to snap together and this makes the table very stable.

It is a perfect and stable dining table, even for a family with children. It is possible to renovate the table top an infinite number of times without problems because the dining table is made of solid teak.

The leg stand is easy to disassemble for transport.
