Vintage Design

A set of six space-age style stackable dining chairs designed by Gerd Lange. 'Sm400k'. West German. 1991.

The chairs have white plastic frames on chromed metal supports and purple wool seating. A comfortable design with a flexible back.

There is no damage to the plastic frames, but there are a few scuff marks and the colour has some differences with age to a more off white. The seating has general wear as expected, with some marks and one back pad slightly out of shape. There are marks where the chairs have been stacked.

The chromed metal is overall good, the bottom rail to one side on all chairs has some pitting. Four of the chairs have a larger amount of pitting and chrome loss, please see the last photograph.

The seat frames are 43cm wide, the legs are the widest point at 50cm.
