About This Piece

Vintage Design

Tall, antique turquoise glass, decor /mason / canning / preserve jars, from the famous maker Solidex, France.

- Authentic French vintage
- Circa 1940’s
- Made of thick, light, turquoise- blue colored glass (see photos.)
- Marked: SOLIDEX on the front
- Capacity: 1 Liter (marked under the bases)
- Both jars weigh just over 1 kgs, (just over 2 lbs.)

Pieces are in overall good, original and vintage condition, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as well as patina of time, on the overall structures, glass bodies, tops (lids), bases, metal bale wires, and tension clips, as can be expected for pieces of this age, as these were typically used in kitchens to store, or can various goods. No chips or cracks (see photos.) Both jars have some naturally occurring lines or bubbles from when they were handblown (see photos). A more noticeable bubble on the rear side of the left jar (see photos.) Some light, old areas with light marks of time , age or rust on the metal bale wires, but they still open and close properly (see photos.)

Both jars have only been gently cleaned, with respect to their original patina of time.

Great, vintage, rustic charm and touch. Ideal for numerous purposes in any given space, whether used in a kitchen or bathroom, as wall, shelf or counter/display decor as a vase, or for other storage purposes.
