This great side table ,Occasional with signature, was designed by Eileen Gray in 1927 and produced by Vereinigte Werkstätten in the 1980's.Eileen Gray loved light functional furniture that could be moved easily.On this little table the chrome-plated steel tubes are attached to the side and the base is kept nice and flat so that you can bring the table towards you while sitting in bed. Classic style finds Scandinavian industrial design. The table top is made of MDF and has been polished to a high gloss with piano lacquer. The table has no damage, but there are small traces of use.Where the chrome tube at the bottom of the foot goes into the top, there is a very small chip and a few centimetres away there is a small dent in the lacquer (please see the last picture).You cannot see the traces of use otherwise.There are very thin scratches on the steel tube.Otherwise, the table is in excellent condition.
