About This Piece

Vintage Design

Charismatic, tufted vintage leather sofa—an original from the late 1960s to early 1970s. The front of the sofa has two practical casters.

+ We attribute the design to the then-renowned leather manufacturer DREIPUNKT, which at that time, under the management of COR, designed and produced seating furniture.

+ It is very well-made, incredibly comfortable, and stands on two casters at the front, making the sofa easy to move.

+ In our opinion, the design fits very well with Mid-Century Modern and Space Age styles.

+ 2-seater.

+ We find the sofa to have a beautiful patina.

+ The leather is a slightly darker milk chocolate brown…

CONDITION
The sofa is in good, well-maintained vintage condition with very acceptable signs of age on the leather surface.

There are no serious, deep-seated damages such as large stains or tears in the leather. However, upon closer inspection, some minor signs of wear are still visible – typical patina…

+ The leather upholstery shows some minor color variations due to age and light exposure, surface scratches, a few rough spots, slight abrasions, and a few very small nicks (mostly sharp-edged) – particularly in areas of higher wear.

``` + Additionally, there are fine surface cracks/craquelure effects, mostly on the armrests (one armrest): this is often found on older, pigmented leathers (see photos 16 & 17 above). These small cracks are only on the top layer of leather and not deep; however, for us, they are simply part of the charm of a vintage leather sofa and contribute to the look of a beautifully patinated vintage leather sofa :-).

+ The upholstery is also still in good condition and firm.

...The signs of wear are usually only noticeable upon closer inspection and are not significant. The overall impression is good and well-maintained.

+ The item has been conscientiously, thoroughly, and professionally treated with high-quality cleaning and care products.

Therefore, it is ready for immediate use and can be enjoyed for a long time without any further maintenance.
