About This Piece

In his daily life Vladimir finds inspiration in two main directions – social topics, affecting him as a person who is part of the common flow of life, and nature, with its uniqueness of beauty and resurgence. Vladimir works primarily with wood but does not deprive himself of the pleasure of experimenting with other techniques and materials. In his works, he likes to leave a sense of primitiveness, harshness, even incompleteness of form. Often, he is looking for a different compositional presentation of the object and for varieties of its form’s texture. For Vladimir the art is a place to run away, to inspire himself and to feel positive emotion – both from the process of making it, as well as from its comprehension and contemplation; it gives him many new emotions and feelings.
