A First Edition table lamp model ''1853'' designed by iconic French designer Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte in Milano, Italy, 1953. This stunning vintage lighting piece is made of opaline Murano white glass with a structure in lacquered metal and has a Dual switch to illuminate the base, shade or both. Its minimal design brings a touch of purity and elegance. We are an exhibition space and an online destination established by the passionate cart director behind Jonathan Amar Studio. All our pieces are expertly restored at our atelier and we only offer items that will last another lifetime. There may be light age-related wear but no hard damages or structural issues.

Delivery Details

Delivery will be completed by a parcel service such as UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
You will receive a tracking number to monitor the status of your shipment.
Delivery will take place between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
A wooden crate may be used for intercontinental shipments for maximum protection.
Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.

About the Creator

Max Ingrand

French modern designer, decorator, and glassworker Max Ingrand was born in Bressuire in 1908. He studied interior design at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, specializing in decorative arts under decorator and glassmaker Jacques Gruber and architect Charles Lemaresquier.

During his career, Ingrand produced numerous stained-glass panels for public spaces, religious institutions, hotels, and more. He was artistic director of Italian contemporary lighting company Fontana Arte for ten years, beginning in 1954. During that period, he created several successful lamps, including the Fontana table lamp (1954), which is still produced today.

Ingrand passed away in Paris in 1969.
