Aurelio Bossi of White Marble Bust Woman signed at the bottom on the front pedestal in a modern stone. The face is molded while the hair is barely sketched. Italy around 1930-1940.

Aurelio Bossi (Monticelli Pavese, July 20, 1884 - Bergamo, October 21, 1948) studied at the Brera Academy and specializes in sculptures in various materials (wood, marble, bronze castings). His works are exhibited at the Pinacoteca di Brera, the Duomo di Milano is the Statue of Cardinal Borromeo while two busts adorn the facade of the chapel of the Hospital Niguarda. He has carried on business in Milan mainly in the years between the two World Wars. He has exhibited his works at the Venice Biennale from 1919 to 1939.
