Wool ''Orgie'' Rug - Malika Favre Dimensions: 300W x 400L cm Materials: 100% pure wool, hand-tufted Other color combinations and sizes are available. Orgie is a suggestive as well as a purely graphic rug. At first sight, the design seems abstract and reveals itself as you get closer and make out the shapes of interlocked bodies. Men and women mix and blend in an ambiguous combination of shapes and position. Orgie is also a comfy rug which invites to lay down and join the party. Malika Favre is a French illustrator based in London since 2004. Her approach to illustration is about paring things down as much as possible. She tries and get to the essence of her subject, using as few lines and colours as it needs to convey the core of the idea. She loves to combine organic curves and unapologetic color palettes.

About the Creator

Nathalie du Pasquier

Self-taught artist and designer Nathalie Du Pasquier was born in Bordeaux, France, in 1957. Between 1975 and 1977, she traveled extensively—in particular in Africa—and her experiences during that time informed her later work.

Between 1981 and 1986, Du Pasquier worked as a designer. She was a founding member of Memphis, the influential post-modernist design and architecture collective created under the leadership of Ettore Sottsass. During this period, she designed vibrant and graphic surface patterns for numerous textiles, carpets, and plastic laminates, as well as objects and furniture.

Since 1987, Du Pasquier has dedicated herself to painting, though she occasionally still does design work.
