Art Deco Bronze Cigarette Dispenser from Ildfast, 1940s

Originally presented as a trophy to an amateur boxer in 1949 this green verdigris patinated cup is actually a cigarette holder/dispenser. It can contain in excess of 20 filter cigarettes. It has the emblem of Jysk amatør bokse union (The amateur boxing association of Jutland) and an imprint to the side indicating the rank and weight division. It is stamped by the maker Ildfast beneath its base.
