About This Piece

Vintage Design

Complete metal ceiling light, created by Italian lighting company Studio Reggiani. Great modernist appearance, will adapt easily in every type of interior.

The small wooden ball at end of the light rest on the ceiling thanks to the weight of the big ( 30 cm ) shade at the other end.
The pipe of the light can extend from 200 to 250 cm.

The shade itself can also be turned in all directions, and the whole light can turn 360 degrees. Very practical design for many purposes.

Good condition, no dents, normal minor marks.
All parts of the lamp are complete, and in perfect working order, all electric parts eleborate checked and newly wired through the whole lamp! ( up to 250 volt, suitable for modern LED bulbs )

About the Creator

Goffredo Reggiani

Not a lot of biographical information is available on the Italian lighting designer and entrepreneur Goffredo Reggiani, however it can be surmised that he was particularly active in the lighting sector during the 1950s throughout the 1970s.

Reggiani founded his eponymous lighting factory in Brianza, Italy, a region known for its tradition in industry. In his designs, Reggiani utilized mainly chrome, as well as opaline glass and teak, to create Space Age designs, such as sputnik style chandeliers, globe-shaped table lamps, and floor lamps with trumpet-like diffusers. During the 1970s, Reggiani developed the first range of low voltage halogen lamps in Europe.

Today, the company is still in operation, creating interior and exterior lighting for both the private and public sectors.
