Vintage Design

Danish bowl model 2836 from Axell Stentoj.
Made of light clay molded in delicate organic shapes, it looks decorative already in itself.
Covered with satin glaze in the color of the earth.
Nice condition with no damage.

Axella ceramics started around 1970 in the town of Norresundby (near Aarhus) in Denmark, founded by Aksel Larsen. Jens Jensen and Jette Helleroe worked there for some time. In fact, most of the work you come across at Axella is by Jette Helleroe.
