This set of 3 curtain valances supported the rich curtains of the salons that hosted more sumptuous parties of the time of Cardinal Mazarin and Louis Napoleon, in a palace in the historic center of Rome of important and undisputed historical significance.
An authentic piece of Italian history.
One of the 3 valances has a "cimasa" or protruding upper molding decorated with a curl and leaf motif, while the other two have plain moldings decorated with gold leaf.
They still present some original hooks and rails of the period.
A conservative restoration has been carried out by skilled hands.
To use them, simply insert modern curtain rails under the valances and attach them to the wall.
Perfect in homes, showrooms or hotels that want to be unique.
Also beautiful to use for curtains on four-poster beds.
