Danish Style Lounge Armchair, 1960s

This vintage armchair's origin is unknown to us, but its design is very reminiscent of Danish mid-century modern design. The chair is visually striking and structurally very solid, with a wooden frame painted black and brown wooden armrests. The frame cradles a thickly cushioned seat and backrest which are covered by a new woven fabric. The fabric is made with quality and comfort in mind, as it is both thick and very soft, patterned in a mix of dark blue, sky blue, light grey and peachy orange colours (see photographs).

Both cushions can be detached from the frame. The seat is thick with metal springs inside. The back is supported by wooden dowels.

Very good vintage condition with signs of age and use - mainly aesthetic marks to the paint. The front left leg of the chair is a bit bent, likely from shaping the wood during the manufacturing process, but the chair itself is structurally sound and does not wobble. The cushions have been reupholstered with quality, soft and thick woven fabric.
